In 1999, soon after completing the edit of his final film, Eyes Wide Shut, director Stanley Kubrick died in England at the age of 70. His other work included A Clockwork Orange, Dr. Strangelove, Full Metal Jacket, Lolita, The Shining, Spartacus, and 2001: A Space Odyssey.
