To celebrate International Women's Day (IWD) on Friday, March 8, the Patricia Theatre is commemorating the day and evening with two films: Analogue Revolution: How Feminist Media Changed the World, and WaaPaKe (Tomorrow), a documentary directed by Dr. Jules Arita Koostachin. 

According to qathet film festival 2024, Member of Parliament for North Island-Powell River Rachel Blaney will begin the afternoon's event and screening with inspiring words to honour International Women's Day and director Marusya Bociurkiw, and film subjects Penny Goldsmith and Nancy Pollak, will introduce Analogue Revolution: How Feminist Media Changed the World. There will be a question and answer period moderated by qathet Film Society education director Peg Campbell to discuss the, "background on the work of feminist media collectives in Canada from the 1970s to today."

Analogue Revolution begins at 1:30 pm and WaaPaKe (Tomorrow) begins at 7 pm, both at the Patricia Theatre in Townsite.
