BC Transit, City of Powell River, qRD offer Canada Day shuttle

Free service will transport passengers between Town Centre Mall and Willingdon Beach area on July 1

BC Transit, City of Powell River and qathet Regional District will be offering a special event shuttle on Canada Day.

The shuttle will run to and from Town Centre Mall and the Alberni Street at Algoma Avenue bus stop, every half hour from 6:15 pm until 11:15 pm, according to BC Transit. Festivities at Willingdon Beach begin at 3 pm and conclude with a fireworks display at 10:30 pm.

Sunday service will be in effect on all routes.
