Coastal Women in Business (CWiB) hosted an artisan and entrepreneur show at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 164 on Saturday, November 4. The hugely successful event saw more than 200 attendees pass through the doors, according to events director Karina Inkster.
“We showcased 20 women-owned businesses at the legion,” said Inkster in an email to the Peak. “The vendors included everything from artisan chocolates and children’s clothing to textile art and handmade personal care products.”
Inkster emphasized that the event supports local small businesses in the qathet region.
Attendees voted for Best in Show, which resulted in local chocolatier Sheona Scott taking first place. Honey entrepreneur Donna Moseanko, from Wildwood Queens, came in second.
