Receives RCMP report
The committee of the whole received a comparative summary report from Powell River RCMP for the second quarter of 2017 fiscal year. Previously, the detachment commander has presented an oral report to the committee, but a recent operational review of the detachment from the RCMP suggested quarterly reports be submitted in addition to annual presentations.
Recommends grant applications
Powell River Regional District committee of the whole voted at its November 9 meeting to recommend that the regional board endorse applications to Union of BC Municipalities for emergency social services and wildfire mitigation grant funding.
