Malaspina Volunteer Fire Department responded to a truck fire at Augusta Recycling on April 5.
According to fire chief Dave Keiver, the fire department was called at 8:28 pm, with a total of 13 members responding. The firefighters were on scene at 8:38 and the fire was extinguished by 8:47 pm.
Keiver said the vehicle was a roll-off truck and the fire was contained to the vehicle. There were no injuries. The fire is still under investigation.
